FULL BIO:

Michael (Mike) Kraycik attended Kutztown University where he majored in Kutztown's World-renowned BFA Communication Design program. Widely recognized as one of the Nation's top visual and performing arts colleges, the Kutztown Communication Design curriculum fuses graphic design and advertising methodologies with fundamentals in traditional and new media arts. Mike also studied photography and art history while attending Kutztown. Mike earned a Professional Webmaster Certification from Penn State University College of Engineering in 1999. The "Webmaster" Certification included marketing, legal and technical course-work.

Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Mike grew up in the picturesque Lehigh Valley - just west of Allentown. From an early age, he displayed a high aptitude artistically and worked in many various mediums - primarily concentrating on drawing and painting. As a youth, Mike attended the prestigious Baum School of Art in Allentown and won various awards in both scholastic and private competitions.

Prior to his time at Kutztown, Mike attended Parkland High school in Orefield, Pennsylvania, where he won the National Honor Society Nation Award in Art in 1986. While attending Parkland, he also contributed to the school theater and stage crew groups, as well as time serving as the school's yearbook photographer, writer and newspaper cartoonist.

After graduating from Kutztown in 1990, Mike spent several years in the print design and production realm and moved into the digital WWW "web" world in 1994, designing and developing first generation job site - JobWeb - which went live in early 1995. During his time working on JobWeb for The National Association of Colleges and Employers (1994-1997), Mike?s site won various awards and was named one of the top ten ?job? sites nationally from 1995-1997. Other highlights with JobWeb include creating the World's first point and click web "site map" as well as pioneering search engine marketing, online display advertising and data-driven search capabilities and user experience that we still see today.
Mike next moved on to become an Interactive Marketing Manager with Ziff-Davis Publishing (Zdnet) and has held various marketing and web roles during his career - including founding "dot com" start-up Zworkz.com in 1999. Mike successfully served as venture capitalist and rose funding in excess of two million dollars for the business. Zworkz served as an "e portal" for the non-profit world and pioneered web-based user-centric database apps and tools for membership organizations. The business and technology was sold to a high profile healthcare company in 2001.

Mike has spent the last ten years working as a digital marketing consultant, primarily working for DuPont in Wilmington Delaware. From 2002 until 2009, Mike worked for the Ag & Nutrition DuPont business in a global role, and moved onto DuPont Building Innovations in 2009. His responsibilities with Building Innovations have included work with DuPont "hero brands" including Corian, Zodiaq, and Tyvek. This experience runs across both business to business and business to consumer markets and global as well as local target audiences.

During the last five years, Mike has been heavily involved as a strategic leader, implementing cutting-edge digital tactics such as search, mobile and social - as well as being an integral player in the 2005 and 2012 global digital transformations across the DuPont enterprise.

Other highlights at DuPont include leading the migration/digital transformation for DuPont Crop Protection globally - moving Crop SBU websites for over fifty countries from numerous hosts, technologies and disjointed messaging/experience/technologies into the "One DuPont" experience. This undertaking resulted in over one million dollars in hosting and maintenance cost savings. Mike also moved the DuPont Crop label and MSDS information sheet process from on demand (off-line) printing to online PDF hosting - again resulting in significant cost savings and improved customer experience. The more-recent shift into mobile, email and social marketing have resulted in increased brand preference, lead generation and revenue generation for the Building Innovations business group.

Mike's extracurricular activities have included ten-plus years in the Boy Scouts of America - where he earned his Eagle Scout award at age fifteen, and various sports including martial arts, baseball, weightlifting, hockey, archery, and lacrosse. He is a member of the elite Lenni-Lenape Delaware Indians/Boy Scouts of America National Honor Society, The Order of the Arrow, and was a member of Kutztown's NCAA lacrosse team during college - playing the position of Midfielder. Mike also enjoys writing, graphic novels, photography, screenwriting, acting, outdoor activities and technology.

Mike, who resides in the western Philadelphia suburbs, has two brothers - Joseph, who is a Professional Geologist and environmental consultant in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, and Steve - who is currently a news director living in Seattle, Washington.
