Mario DeMarco  Chief Operating Officer After 27 years with IBM Corporation, Mario DeMarco began a second career as a Information Technology consultant: first as principal of the DeMarco Group in 1991, followed by the founding of CoreTech Consulting Group Inc., in October 1992. Today, as chief operating officer, DeMarco focuses on managing and directing the firm’s consulting practices and client relations for CoreTech in its Mid-Atlantic Region, combining solid technical abilities with years of management and consulting experience. DeMarco joined IBM in 1964, during groundbreaking years of information technology. His early assignments included planning and development of data centers, technical operations and systems development. Throughout his career he was named to key management positions at corporate headquarters as well as at locations in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. Prior to forming his own consulting group, DeMarco provided management consulting services within IBM, designing and implementing the company's Large System Assessment Process. A pioneer in the professional IT consulting services industry, he continues to provide CoreTech's clients with service-enhancing and cost-reducing solutions to improve a large organization's technical infrastructure. DeMarco earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY, and a Master of Science in Information Systems from Pace University, White Plains, NY.
