KING OF PRUSSIA, PA, April 2, 1996

Over 115 Information Technology (IT) executives gathered on March 7, 1996 for CoreTech Consulting Group’s first annual Technology Defined Event - Distributed Computing: New Alternatives for the IT Organization. The event was a huge success. Both attendees and vendor participants commented on how Technology Defined brought IT executives together to learn about and share information on the most important trends shaping Distributed Computing, as presented by some of our region’s leading technologists.

A sampling of the day’s highlights included:

· A keynote presentation by Mike Lambert, VP, Major Accounts Business Unit North America for Compaq Computer Corporation. Lambert’s speech centered on how increasing world-wide business demands and the chaotic pace of technology change are shaping the evolution of Distributed Computing.

· Eight breakout sessions held throughout the day that educated attendees on some of the key technologies that are an integral part of Distributed Computing. These sessions were comprised of panel discussions, case studies and topic expert presentations in the areas listed on the left.

· The unveiling of CoreLab, CoreTech’s state-of-the-art testing facility for use by both clients and CoreTech technologists. Throughout the day, attendees visited CoreLab, staffed by CoreTech technologists and vendor representatives, to see demonstrations of the latest Distributed Computing technology.

· A Vendor Information Forum with representatives from leading vendors, including Compaq, Lotus, Microsoft, Oracle, Platinum Technologies, ServiceWare, Software Artistry, 3Com, WorldTalk and CompuWare. The Forum enabled the attendees and vendors to exchange information and ideas.

· Over 150 CoreTech employees and IT executives ended the day with a cocktail reception celebrating CoreTech’s new headquarters.

Commenting on the success of the day, CoreTech President David Moore stated, "As organizations move toward Distributed Computing models, the day assisted them in further developing strategies for effectively dealing with this evolution." Moore added, "The day also provided these executives with a greater understanding of the breadth of services CoreTech can provide, the high caliber of our employees, both billable and non-billable, and gave them a look at our office space, both present and future.
